In conjunction with Fashion Design Collection 1 students will evaluate a marketing strategy for their designer collection and confirm a consumer profile and sales plan. By understanding your customer enables you to select fabrics, colours and prints that work for them, while staying strong to your own design philosophy. Every customer has a choice of garments in their wardrobe and you need to analyse where your collection would fit into their lifestyle. The more you understand your customer the more appropriate your designs will be, and therefore the more you are likely to sell and make your collections successful.
