Management at a strategic level requires systems and procedures and the use of emotional intelligence to increase self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management. Individuals are also required to develop and monitor the implementation of an operational plan to provide efficient and effective workplace practices within the organisation’s productivity and profitability plans.
This subject includes identifying the impact of ones own emotions and their affect on others, recognising and developing the emotional strengths of others, promoting the development of emotional intelligence in others and utilising emotional intelligence to maximise team outcomes.
Students will learn to identify, analyse, synthesise and act on information and deal with unpredictable problems using initiative and judgement to organise the work of self and others and plan, evaluate and co-ordinate the work of teams within the broader strategic and/or business plan.
