The purpose of a Virtu Institute Internship and work placement is to foster embedded learning providing our students with a framework to experience first hand the excitement, practicalities and challenges of the workplace, while beginning to establish and utilise those all important “work-place” networks.

Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of the Internship, and/or work placement students will be able to:

  • Understand of the working requirements of a professional workplace
  • Be able to establish workplace networks and relationships with professional designers, educators, business people and professional associations
  • To reflect on their individual practice and document the processes of the workplace and their integration into it
  • Understand, critique and manage WHS issues within the workplace
